The best furniture repair and restoration guys around.....
We'd like to thank all of our past, current and future customers for their trust in repairing and restoring their favorite furniture items or prized family heirlooms.
Please know that we are no longer on 4th Street NW in ABQ. We have moved to a small garage in Rio Rancho*. Therefore, we can no longer accept random walk in business. All service requests or drop offs are By Appointment ONLY, please.
To get a quote, you can attach some pix to our contact form, or text them to us at the number below, along with a brief description of the problem for a rough idea of cost. Another option would be to make an appointment to bring to the shop. Or finally, if you're not in a hurry, we can stop by your place in most of Albuquerque or Rio Rancho , the next time we are in your area, as we get out an about at least a few times a week.
Below is a partial list to give you an idea of services offered.....
Recliner mechanism repair-
Requires repair in shop, as the mechanism needs to be removed to weld as needed-
Complete Re-Glue of wooden Chair-
Label each component, carefully take apart, clean the joints of old glue and crud- pre-assemble and pre-clamp, make missing pieces or replace dowels as needed, strategically clamp together to ensure stability. (after pic in gallery)
Internal frame repair. A common problem on upholstered items. Involves careful and strategic removal of the existing materials to gain access to repair and reinforce the frame as needed....usually done in shop. (after pic in gallery)
Detailed heirloom repair and restoration as needed. This old Rosewood item needed many repairs and a complete detail clean and hand waxing.
Recliner handle and cable replacement. I carry a decent variety of the most common types.
Most units can be done in the home, but in some rare furniture designs that require a significant amount of disassembly may need to go to the shop.
Clean and Wax, including touch up as needed.
Sometimes can be done on-site, but usually it's best to have them in-shop.
Simple dining chair seats, I have fabric books, vinyl and leather available. I also re-upholster Antique chairs that do not require sewn seams....honestly, I understand and am proficient of most aspects of re-upholstery, I just do not sew.
Restoration of other wooded items-
Such as this old fire place mantel, small wooden clocks, antique wooden phone, and a variety of other wooden things.
On a set of 6 teak dining chairs, complete re-upholstery of seats in customers choice of materials, new foam and foundation, all new caning on each back. The wood, cleaned and conditioned.
We NO LONGER offer Cane, Rush or Danish Cord replacement, but reach out anyway for a referral.
These are a lot of fun to restore, but it will depend on what you want done. Each Trunk worked on needs it's on special type of TLC.
